Divorce
Divorce is the term used to describe the marriage between two people
being ended. The act of divorce is subject to some controversy global
as some cultures and religions look down at those who divorce, and in
some countries the practice is actually illegal. As marriage is an act
which ties two people together in the eyes of the law divorce is also
a legal act which in many cases is carried out in a court of law and
may end with sanctions and penalties imposed on either of the parties
involved.
The legal process involved in a divorce may be long, drawn out and
extremely expensive for the people involved, however in some instances
a simple divorce can be performed quickly with a minimal amount of expensive
and fuss, an example would be if the marriage to be terminated had been
extremely brief and no children had been involved. If two parents choose
to end their marriage then this may have a negative effect on their
children, the divorce process itself can be especially traumatic, particularly
for younger children who may not be able to fully comprehend why it
is happening. A divorce may be an extremely stressful process for all
parties involved and the implications go beyond the obvious finance
and stress related and have a profound affect on emotions.
